Eater (Eater of Filth) is the sphincter embodied, inspired by a marble drain, it is passage as creation, birth and bringing forth.

How do artists begin a new work and how are ideas brought into being? What is the nature of these ideas, how do they become productive, how do we approach materialising them and what is our attitude towards them? This is an important question for working artists and for artists in training, one that has to be renegotiated every time with each new body of work.

This knowledge is rooted in practice and becomes easier with practice, it requires being open and attentive to the process, observing and following clues, adapting, problem solving, changing approaches, exploring and subverting.
