'Something True or Very Close to the Truth' is a series related to unintelligibility, the misinterpretation of culturally grounded knowledge and cultural appropriation, of liberally 'borrowed' aesthetic styles. The quilted and reverse embroidered windows and doors, works refer to the culturally specific readings of distinct architectural styles borrowed from 17th century England and France during the Latin American republican periods, after independence from Spanish colonial rule. The readings vary depending on the cultural background of the viewer and the place in which they are shown.
During the 2020 lockdown they were developed first as drawings and have continued to progress as sculptural ceramic pieces.
